“We have the best medicine chest right here outside our door,” Jeff remarked this morning. He meant that he’ll walk up to the Inn through the garden, in our pure air and his gloomy mood from reading articles about greedy, amoral or simply disappointing people, will transform. By the time he walks into the lobby that negativity will have shifted. No pills needed. That is the gift of being outside, in Nature and June, the gateway to summer, invites us to put down our devices and just “get out.”

Maya Angelo wrote, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said…what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Recently guests have voiced in person or in emails, that they keep coming back to us because of how they feel here. We believe it is how nature makes them feel. That feedback reenforces what our intention is. We want everyone, not just ourselves and our staff, to decompress, to breathe freer, deeper, slower-to remember life is full of possibility, to feel lighter, more hopeful.
We hope to see you soon!
