Gourmet Plant-Based Dining
Driven by a deep respect for the environment and a passion for nourishing food, our menu showcases innovative, gourmet vegan cuisine made with organic, seasonal ingredients—many harvested from our own Certified Organic gardens. Each dish reflects the essence of the surrounding landscape, bringing the flavors of Northern California to life in unexpected, artful ways.

Compassionate Cuisine
Our commitment to conscious dining has captured the attention of culinary leaders and national media. Ravens has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine, The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, and honored by Condé Nast Traveler as a must-visit destination for travelers seeking exquisite plant-based fare in a serene coastal setting.
Our Passion. Your Health.
Whether you’re savoring a leisurely breakfast with forest and ocean views, enjoying a romantic candlelit dinner, or joining us for one of our signature cooking classes, Ravens Restaurant invites you to reconnect—with nature, with your health, and with the joy of mindful eating.

A Note on Food Allergies & Special Diets
At Ravens Restaurant, our menu is thoughtfully crafted to be not only delicious, but also environmentally sustainable, health-supportive, anti-inflammatory, and ethically prepared. We focus on whole, plant-based ingredients, many of which are organically grown on-site.
While we are happy to accommodate a range of dietary needs, there are some diets and preferences—such as FODMAP, Keto, certain versions of Paleo, Atkins, onion/garlic-free diets, and “SOS” (salt/oil/sugar-free)—that are not aligned with our culinary philosophy and may be difficult for us to support.
Gluten Notice: We offer a variety of gluten-free options; however, please note that our kitchen is not gluten-free. We do work with wheat-based flours and other gluten-containing ingredients, and airborne particles may be present. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination. Guests with Celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivities should be aware of this risk.
If you have dietary restrictions, allergies, or special considerations, we encourage you to contact us in advance of your visit. Our nutritionist is available to help review the menu and suggest options that may work for you.
“Albert Einstein once stated, ‘Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on earth as much as the evolution of a vegetarian diet,’ and at the Stanford Inn by the Sea, an eco-friendly lodge …they are committed to turning Einstein’s theory into a reality…”
– Vegan Magazine
“Hotels can range from oblivious to the needs of vegans to exclusively vegan. The latter describes the Stanford Inn & Resort in Mendocino, Calif., which bills itself the only plant-based resort in the United States. The furniture has no animal-based materials, so there are no leather sofas. Its on-site restaurant, the Ravens, serves organic-plant-based fare such as sea palm-and-root vegetable strudel and wild mushroom-and-creamy polenta. “We use as much produce as practically possible from our own farm which, beyond being organic, does not use pesticides, regardless of their organic pedigree,” says Jeff Stanford, the inn’s owner.”
